William F. Squadron is President of the IP PRIME division of SES AMERICOM, and a member of SES AMERICOM's Management Committee. As President of IP PRIME, Mr. Squadron oversees the industry's leading turnkey solution for MPEG-4, IPTV systems, which launched commercially in 2007 and is providing a multichannel video service to consumers across America. IP PRIME is SES AMERICOM's end-to-end white label service that ingests and formats video content from any source and enables the distribution of IP video to any media platform. Mr. Squadron has most recently overseen IMG Media’s interactive businesses, and previously was co-founder and CEO of Sportvision (inventor of the yellow 1st and Ten line). He has also served as Senior Vice President of Strategic Planning for News Corp., as Commissioner of the City of New York's Department of Telecommunications and Energy, and as a partner with the law firm of Morrison and Foerster. He has forged agreements with major sports networks, leagues, telecommunications carriers, media companies, and technology entities and has raised tens of millions of dollars in venture capital from strategic and financial investors. Mr. Squadron earned his Juris Doctor degree from the University of California, Berkeley (Boalt Hall) School of Law and a B.A. from Swarthmore College. |
